Mentoring: The Australian SAS Regiment has produced an extensive network of successful individuals in many walks of life; including former soldiers who continue to serve their community in leadership roles in government, in the business world, and in a range of professions. Wandering Warriors taps into that network to provide mentoring for veterans seeking new challenges.

Education: Military skills don’t always translate readily or practically into the civilian world. Veterans looking to re-focus their lives often need further education or retraining. Wandering Warriors has linked with institutes of higher learning, such as the University of Queensland Business School, to provide degree programs for selected veterans.

Employment: Wandering Warrior is building a network of Australian companies committed to training and offering work placement for veterans. Companies looking for employees who have demonstrated such qualities as loyalty, integrity, courage, tenacity, initiative, perseverance and humour. Or companies wishing to simply thank a veteran. As we expand nationally, we expect this program to grow. If you operate an Australian company that would be interested in our program, please contact us!

Events: Wandering Warriors came into being by conducting endurance events that align with the ethos and reputation of our former Regiment – a name built on military operations that are physically and mentally challenging, and emotionally draining. The funds raised from those events were distributed to our charity partners: selected causes that are working hands on with wounded, injured and ill veterans and their families. More events will be held going forward, as a vehicle for raising awareness and funds.

Other Services: Wandering Warriors works cooperatively with the Department of Defence , the Department of Veterans’ Affairs , and other ex-service organisations to ensure that veterans are directed to the agency or organisation best equipped to handle their cases or needs. In some instances, our charity partners – such as the White Cloud Foundation which operates PTSD clinics – have the best specialist support capabilities.
